Church & Hill was founded with a clear purpose: to raise the standard of quality, professionalism, and transparency in the Texas floor coating industry.

The company is led by partners Richard Wiand and Andrew Nelson - longtime friends & former roommates at the University of Michigan. Andrew holds a degree in civil engineering and spent four years at Giffels & Webster designing and overseeing municipal infrastructure projects. Coming from a family of custom homebuilders, Richard studied economics and worked as a commercial real estate investment broker at Colliers International.

Through their experience in engineering, construction, and real estate, they saw a common pattern in the epoxy industry: rushed installations, inconsistent preparation, low quality materials, and a poor customer experience marked by weak communication. They built Church & Hill to do the opposite: to deliver meticulously installed floors that are engineered with precision, and to provide customers with end-to-end stewardship and clear communication.
